BIND Pop-up library at Photokathmandu in 2017

BIND was a collective platform created in 2015 by five photographers and dedicated to photobooks in South Asia. The main idea behind it was to make photography books more accessible in the region and to foster a creative discourse and practice around this specific mode of expression. For five years, it held numerous pop-up libraries, photobook exhibitions and events in various festivals across India and Nepal.

BIND also made its collection accessible to the public 2017 onwards, through the support of Trilogy Bookstore & Library. This collective experiment was concluded in 2020 with the handover of this collection of around 250 books to Editions JOJO, who took on the mission and, since then, opened its own bookstore and library in Bombay.
